Conservatories

Conservatories provide you with fantastic additional space throughout the year and make a beautiful extension to your home, but they are exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions and as a result can become dirty and in turn, deteriorate. Over time the build-up of dirt, moss, algae or other environmental pollutants such as traffic emissions can cause preventable damage in the form of metal corrosion, discolouring of UPVC and leaking seals which can lead to expensive repairs down the line.

Regular, professional cleaning can help extend the life of your conservatory and will ensure you can fully enjoy this extension to your home. It is never recommended to use pressure-washers or steam cleaners when cleaning conservatories as these can cause extensive damage to the seals and glass units. Our specialist equipment is both kind and gentle to your conservatory whilst still providing you with that professional finish.

To keep your conservatory looking its best, we recommend that you have your conservatory cleaned as soon as you see any kind of build-up.

Perspex Roof

A Perspex roof requires more care than a glass roof when being cleaned as it can be easily damaged. Many conservatories have plastic roofs for lightness and resistance to breakage. These roof panels and frames must not be walked upon which is why our telescopic poles are ideal for carrying out this type of clean as we are able to get to those hard to reach areas.

It’s important to ensure your Perspex roof has regular (every 12 – 18 months approximately), professional maintenance to ensure any build-up of dirt or algae is not left long enough to stain. Common household cleaners can damage any chemical coatings that the manufacturers have applied to shield the roof from the UV rays. For this reason, it’s very important to check the instructions provided and never use any petrol based cleaners. Cleaning with Pure Water is one of the best and most effective methods of cleaning this type of roof.

Lean-to Structures

A lean-to refers to a building or structure that shares one wall with a larger building, and has a roof that leans against that wall. This could be a simple conservatory or even a garage, with glass or plastic panels and is a relatively fragile structure, more prone to damage and premature failure than the main fabric of your house. It’s therefore advisable to have these cleaned by professionals such as ourselves, without the use of ladders which could damage the structure if leant against.
