Soffits/Fascias

Over time, various sorts of grime such as dirt, algae, cobwebs and traffic pollution can cause your soffits and fascias to look dull, tired and unkempt. This accumulation of grime is especially noticeable on white UPVC, dulling the overall appearance of your property. If you allow the grime to remain there, it will be tougher to remove and can cause permanent damage. To ensure the protective coating on your UPVC is also kept intact and in top condition, it’s important to have your soffits and fascias cleaned. Keeping your soffits and fascias well maintained should be a priority because aside from the aesthetic side of things, these fixtures protect your roof and home.

Using our water-fed poles and soft bristled brushes, we gently clean to revive your soffits and fascia boards and ensure that every inch of your UPVC is pristinely cleaned. Our telescopic poles allow us to also get to those hard to reach areas such as above conservatory roofs which might be hard to get to with ladders alone.

You can book a soffits and fascia clean on its own, or if you’re looking to give your home some TLC and get it looking as good as new, we also offer a ‘Whole UPVC Deep Clean’ package which includes the cleaning of all UPVC including soffits, fascias, external gutters, windows (inside and outside) and the clearing of debris from the inside of the gutters. If booked as a package this works out cheaper overall than booking each service individually.

FAQs

What do you clean when carrying out a UPVC / Soffits & Fascias clean?

All soffits/fascias/external gutters are cleaned. If you requested a ‘Whole UPVC Deep Clean’, which is very popular in the Spring time, this would also include the windows (inside and outside) and the clearing out of debris from the inside of the gutters (Gutter Clean).

Will I get drip marks on my windows during the clean?

When carrying out this type of clean, it is likely that you will get dirty drip marks on your windows from the grime that is removed during the cleaning process. We therefore recommend that you also book a window clean at the same time to ensure your home is left looking as good as new.

How often should UPVC / Soffits & Fascias be cleaned?

When we carry out a UPVC / Soffits & Fascia clean, we ensure that we provide the best clean possible, which means that often you will not need to have them cleaned more often than once every 2 – 3 years. However, the time between cleans will depend largely on the location of the property as if you live next to a busy road for instance, your home will be exposed to much more pollution which can build up over time. If you start to notice a build-up then it’s probably time to get them cleaned!

Do you use Pressure Washers to carry out the clean?

No, we only use our telescopic poles and Pure Water. The water pressure we use with our poles is very gentle, unlike Pressure Washers that have a tendency to force water up in through the vents and into your roof space or damage loose, old or ill-fitting PVC panels.

What if my Fascia & Soffits are very dirty?

We are usually able to get soffits and fascias looking like new again, even if they are very dirty. However, sometimes if the build-up of grime has been allowed to sit for a long period of time, this may have permanently stained the UPVC making it very difficult to remove. We will always let you know before we carry out the clean if we think your UPVC may be stained to ensure you have realistic expectations on the results of your clean.

Do you clean the outside of my gutters?

UPVC / Soffits & Fascia cleans include the outside of the gutters, soffits and fascias, however this does not include the removing of debris from the inside of the gutter system – that would fall under our ‘Gutter Cleaning’ section (the exception to this would be if you book a ‘Whole UPVC Deep Clean’).
